Arizona State Museum's Culture Craft Saturday

Southwest Soundoff!
Hear it, make it, tell it! Experience the Southwest region and culture through traditional musical instruments, animal and nature sounds, and cultural storytelling. Make an ocarina (clay whistle), create a traditional musical instrument loteria (bingo) board and play the game, transform sounds into poetry and stories, listen closely to the sounds of the desert region using a highly senstive mic to amplify the voices of cacti, pots and other items, and much more!

Marking the Solstice: A Multicultural Celebration

Enjoy hands-on activities, star gazing, music and dance performances, cultural presentations and stories relating to the sun, moon, stars, rain, and desert environment from a variety of cultures. Bring a dinner and a blanket or lawn chairs and enter UA’s Main Gate for an evening of fun on ASM’s lawn and in the galleries.
