The Office of International Faculty & Scholars and the Passport Application Acceptance Facility will be closed on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm.

On Saturday, April 12, OIFS will hold it's annual event in conjunction with the Arizona State Museum. This year the ASM theme is "Soutwest Sound Off". The event will take place from 1 - 4pm in front of ASM. This is a great "Free Family Fun" event and we look forward to seeing you! OIFS will be providing a catered lunch for all of our J-1 visitors and their families. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by Wednesday, April 9th by noon.

Department of State Visa Service fees have increased, OIFS and USCIS remain unchanged.

Office of International Faculty & Scholars

The Office of International Faculty and Scholars is the primary administrative unit on campus providing services to visiting international professors and research scholars participating in the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program.

OIFS also works closely with UA faculty to assist with the administrative processes involved in bringing international scholars and researchers to the campus. In addition, OIFS facilitates the initial preparation and processing for H-1B nonimmigrant status as well as Permanent Residency (PR) petitions for eligible candidates.
